Enhancements
Appointment Confirmation Number
What’s new? myQE has introduced a new field for Appointment Confirmation #. This is different than the Shipment ID, and can be used as another option for drivers to check-in with. This also includes enhancements to the check-in flow (via custom questions) that will help guide drivers through the check-in flow (to be released later this month).
Why does it matter? The myQ scheduling portal (and other scheduling platforms used in tandem with myQE) generates an “appointment confirmation #”, which can easily confuse drivers that try to check-in using this. This enhancement is meant to solve for this use case. The confirmation # currently only exists in the back-end, but will continue to weave into the platform’s front-end with future enhancements.
‘Merge Appointment’ Enhancement
What’s new? Users are now able to merge two appointments together, even if one (or both) have already checked-in. This was not possibly previously.
Why does it matter? This enhancement supports the use case of ad-hoc merges (e.g. user is not sure what OB shipment a driver will depart with until they arrive with an inbound shipment).
Yard Management Enhancements
What’s new?
Ability to delete tasks – Tasks can now be deleted from the Tasks tab. This can be used to cleanup tasks that don’t get “completed” in the system for any number of reasons.
Better visibility into Task/Appointment associations – Shipment ID is now included as a column on the Tasks tab, with further appointment details available in the side panel for a given task.
Ability to edit Trailer linked to an OB appointment – Previously, after a task was completed, there was no way to edit the trailer that was associated with the appointment (via the completed task). This causes issues if trailers need to be replaced (which we’ve seen is quite common). This association can now be edited from the Edit Appointment modal.
Why does it matter? These are “fine-tuning” enhancements that will make a big impact for Yard Management sites.
