Facility notifications are based on myQ enterprise hardware and can give insight into what is happening at your docks; what may be an issue or an event that needs attention. These notifications have flexibility to alert on specific types of shipments; product or shipment type, and live or drop loads

Note: the layout of the platform is slightly different but will walk through the foundational steps of how-to add a Facility Notification.
  • Commercial door or gate notifications trigger when a specific activity has occurred at your device; so that means a door has opened a door or closed and the same for a gate. Choose to be notified immediately or after a set period.

  • Dock session notifications have additional subtypes available for you. These are intended to be notifications that reflect challenges that need to be addressed either by warehouse management or the team actively working the floor. The five suggested types of notifications at your docs are:

    • Energy loss

    • Inefficient doc session

    • Restraint safety

    • Truck detention

    • Restraint bypassed

  • Custom dock session notification occurs when a stage in your session occurs or doesn’t occur. Choose the step in your session that you would like to know about immediately, or you can flag a session if no other activity occurs after a set period of time.

  • Truck assignment notifications can be used to tell you when something is about to happen at the dock or has been updated in a way that is valuable for the team on the floor.

  • Maintenance notifications are very useful when monitoring the health and status of your myQ enterprise devices. It is recommended to send these notifications to your internal maintenance team as well as your dealer of choice who can come in and service your hardware.

    • Fault notifications send an alert on every type of error code registered. The notification will include information about what that fault is, allowing your dealer to send the right tech with the right part the first time; potentially alerting them before you’re aware of the problem.

    • Dealers are also good recipients for the maintenance cycle counts which is intended to help them keep your docks up and running without any down time.

  • Offline notifications could also be sent to your myQ Customer Success Manager for quick troubleshooting.

Creating a Notification

  1. Navigate to the Notifications module and select the Facility Notifications tab and use the blue button to +Add notification

  2. Select the type of notification you intend to create

  3. Give the Notification a specific name; define state of selected doors or/and gates that will trigger this Notification, then click 'Next'

  4. Set up the conditions that should occur to this Notification to be sent, including when the notification should be sent and whether it is critical. Critical Notification will be displayed at the top of the Recent Notifications list, so the event can be timely and easily noticed. Click 'Next' at the bottom of the screen.

  5. Set up the schedule when the Notification will be sent, and press the Next button

  6. Select the devices OR zones this Notification will be applied to (only one type can be selected), and click 'Next'

  1. Select the recipient(s) that will get the Notification when the set criteria and conditions occur. Search to find your desired recipients, check the box next to the recipient, and then click 'Save'.
