Notifications can be a valuable tool to provide insight and actionable updates to what's happening on your floor as well as at your dock. Most notifications are sent by e-mail, however, notifications by text are available for Facility and Shipment Notifications to users with text messaging enabled. There are three different categories of notifications: Facility, Shipment, and Access.
3 Types of Notifications
Facility Notifications – Hardware focused; can give insight into what’s happening at the dock or bring attention to a specific issue or event, such as Gateway Offline or Delayed Dock Loading. Notifications can be set by different carrier, tags, appointment time and type, and more.
Shipment Notifications – Appointment and Trailer session specific; Useful for giving alerts on specific types of shipments, product types, carriers, or tags – ie. Truck Awaiting Dock Notifications can be set by different carrier, tags, appointment time and type, and more.
Access Notifications – Focused on Gate and User Activity; Useful for alerting the facility when specific groups or users enter the gate. NOTE: Text notifications are not available
myQ will have Suggested Notifications available from Day 1. These notifications can be turned on or off or edited and can inspire you to find a similar need within your facility with a head start on setting those up. Contact your Implementation Manager or Customer Success Team to take your notifications to the next level!
