Yard Management encapsulates the processes of optimizing and automating the movement, storage, and flow of trailers and other assets within a facility’s yard.
Benefits
The myQ Enterprise Yard Management module provides real-time collaboration, automation, and control over all yard activities, helping the facility reduce delays, improve throughput, and enhance overall efficiency.
There are three main components of myQ Enterprise Yard Management Module:
Trailer Inventory Management
In this post we'll dive into the Trailer Inventory Management
Trailer Inventory Management
myQ Enterprise maintains a real-time list of Trailer Inventory that can be viewed on the Trailers tab.
A trailer is added to inventory in a few different ways:
Trailers are automatically added to the site Inventory when an Appointment checks-in. In this case, the Driver checking-into the facility is asked to provide their trailer number which is then added to the site Inventory.
Trailers can also be manually added to the Inventory manually in the website by clicking the “Add+” button on the Trailers tab or in the Yard Management App

A Trailer is removed from Inventory in a few different ways:
Trailers are automatically checked out of inventory with an appointment checkout. In this case, when a driver checks-out they are asked to confirm or provide the trailer number they are leaving with, and this will remove the Trailer from inventory.
Trailers can also be manually checked out from the Trailers tab (Actions > Checkout)

Trailer Attributes & Locations
In addition to site inventory, more details about trailers, including Location and Attributes can be tracked within myQ.
Trailers can be placed in specific yard / dock locations to easily track whereabouts & time onsite.
Additionally, there are 30+ trailer attributes, including custom attributes, that can be used to track key information about each trailer (for example, load status, size, condition, last inspection date, etc.) as well as the most recent appointment associated with the Trailer.
