Appointments, Gate Management, Routing
Update to Assignment Method Visibility
a. There is a scenario in which Trailer 1 checks-in and is not assigned a dock based on current availability, or early/late check-in rules. If Trailer 2 checks-in afterwards and hits the same rule as Trailer 1, the rule will re-run and may give an available dock to Trailer 1, based on the Auto Assignment criteria defined in the rule. Previously, when this scenario occurred, the Assignment Method (on Daily Schedule) showed as null – which caused confusion as to how Trailer 1 actually got assigned
b. Assignment Method will now show as “Checkin Priority” in this scenario, so that users have visibility into how the assignment was made

Appointment Schedule Standardization Enhancements – Users may notice a few UX standardization enhancements to the Appointments Schedule, most notably the bulk import section has moved to its own tab to allow for easier user navigation. Other changes include a slightly different look & feel to the search and filter functionality, to better align with the rest of the platform

Dock Management
Reassign In-Progress Trailer Assignment – Users are now able to reassign a trailer to a different dock, even if the session is in progress. This functionality is meant to account for the variety of reasons in which a dock assignment may need to be switched (dock equipment issues, facility miscommunications, etc.)
Driver Experience
Drop & Hook Trailer Visibility on Panel during Check-In – We have resolved an issue where the “hook” trailer information was being cut-off on the CAP devices during check-in, causing driver confusion
Driver Preferred Language on Mobile Check-In – The Mobile check-in experience will now remember the driver’s preferred language for future check-ins. For example, if a driver changes the language from English to Spanish during check-in, the mobile experience will remember this for the next appointment they check into, so they are not constantly having to update it. This is meant to improve the UX and speed of check-in for non-English speaking drivers
Yard Management
Pull Task Automation
a. Yard Management sites are now able to automate the creation of pull tasks for any ` given appointment type. The settings for this feature can be found in Trailers > Task Settings. Using this functionality, sites can automatically dispatch pull tasks to their yard drivers when a dock session is complete and the outside light is green (based on the dock equipment sensors)
b. Note: Users will also see the option to automatically create a pull task on every modal in which a spot task is being created. The settings in the screenshot below will simply dictate whether these checkboxes are checked by default or not. This is designed for users to easily manage exceptions (e.g. there may be instances where a site does not need to pull a trailer from the door right away, or the OTR driver will pull it, etc.)

New Task Types – Yard Management users can now create any of 5 task types from the Tasks tab. Previously, only “Load Outbound” was available from the Tasks tab, while other task types were available elsewhere throughout the platform. Task functionality has not been removed from anywhere else on the platform – just added to one consolidated place for users who may prefer to manage tasks from one screen (Tasks tab)
a. Load Outbound – Create spot task to move an empty trailer to a door to be loaded for a future Outbound Pickup appointment
b. Assign to Dock – Create spot task for any trailers/appointments that are “Awaiting Dock” and NOT Live (since Live appts will not be handled by Yard Driver)
c. Pull from Dock – Create pull task from any dock that is occupied with a trailer
d. Reassign Dock – Create a task to pull a trailer from one dock and move to another
e. Trailer Move – Create a task to move a trailer from the yard to some other spot in the yard
