Enhancements
Trailer Presets
What’s new? Users can now create custom filters for Trailers (Trailers > Trailer Settings > Trailer Quick Filter). These filters can also be shared / published to the facility so that any user with access to the site can use the shared filters. Users can have up to 10 personal filters, and a site can have up to 50 shared filters.
Why does it matter? The “stock” filters provided by myQE are simply In Yard, At Dock, and Checked Out. Each individual site will likely have different categorizations of trailers that are important to them (e.g. empty trailers from a particular carrier, red-tagged trailers, etc.), so this allows them to configure myQ to best support their own workflows.

Task Creation Automation (for Outbound Pickup Spot tasks only – more to come)
What’s new? Sites now have the ability to automatically create a spot task (i.e. trailer to door) for every Outbound Pickup appointment that is created. This is just the first piece of task automation, and support for more appointment types will continue to be released in the future. This can be enabled via Trailers > Tasks Settings > Auto-Task Creation
Why does it matter?
Use Case: “My facility has 50 outbound pickup appointments tomorrow morning, so we need to load 50 trailers tonight. Every appointment will require 1 spot task to bring an empty trailer to the door to be loaded. Rather than manually creating 50 spot tasks, I can now opt for the spot tasks to be created automatically as soon as the Outbound Pickup appointment has been created – thus saving me 1-2 minutes per appointment”
Load Now/Load Later
What’s new? Daily Schedule > OB Pickup Appt > Actions > Load Trailer. Previously, when Load Trailer was selected, there was only one option (“Load Now”), which allowed the user to create a spot task for a specific trailer to a specific door, thus creating the dock assignment associated with the OB Pickup appointment. With “Load Now”, the dock assignment is made right away, which is a limitation if there is still an ongoing session at the door. With the addition of “Load Later”, users can now create the task without immediately overriding the dock assignment. This is a way to queue a trailer to the door, which is a common use case for many yard management customers
Why does it matter? With “Load Later”, the task creator doesn’t have to wait for the yard driver to pull a trailer from a door to create the next spot task. He/she can create the pull task to remove the existing trailer, and then immediately create the spot task for the next trailer without updating the assignment. In this case, the dock assignment won’t be created until the Yard Driver clicks “Start” on the task
Task Creation – Yard to Yard moves
What’s new? Previously, users were only able to create 1 task type from the Tasks tab (Trailers > Tasks > + Add) – which was Spot tasks for OB Pickup appointments. Now, we have added the capability to complete Yard to Yard moves as well. Additional task types will continue to be added in the coming weeks.
Why does it matter? We want to ensure that myQ users can easily create tasks for any type of trailer move that would happen within the confines of a facility
