How-To Edit an Existing Carrier

Setup and manage all your carriers with myQ. Different carriers may have specific requirements around detention times and fees. Managing carriers in myQ will help you accurately measure and push back against appointments that were either not delayed or had delays caused by driver behaviors.

NOTE: Dock Management is a very flexible and powerful component, we recommend contacting your Customer Success Manager before implementing any changes

1. Navigate to the Dock Mgmt module on the left-hand side and select the Carrier Management tab. In this section you can edit various carrier specific settings.

2. Click on the carrier's name to see and edit details.

   

3. The carrier's name is required; all other fields are optional. Click ‘Next’ to edit carrier time limits and fees.

4. By default, myQ sets detention fees to the industry average, but you can edit each carrier to reflect your contracted fee structures, and then press the 'Next' button. myQ uses the fees settings to estimate your detention fees in reporting.

5. Add any internal comments on the carrier and notes for the Driver to see and click the 'Save' button.

By keeping carrier information up to date, you will ensure smooth scheduling, accurate reporting, and better control over detention costs.
