Roles control the level of access a user has in myQ. When a Role is added to a user profile, they can email an invitation to join your myQ facility. Roles control the level of access a user has in myQ. If a User’s Role prohibits access to a feature, then the user will not see the specific feature tab in myQ.

By default, there are five roles. It is recommended that you work with your CSM to best utilize these roles and thoughtfully restrict permission sets.

This video will show you how to assign roles in myQ Enterprise.

  • Facility Owner role is for individuals such as Operations Manager and ‘Admin’ type role, that should have full access to the platform, including backend set up and reporting.

    • Can add or edit users, Schedules, Groups, Credentials, Notifications

    • Can also edit the permission sets for Roles

  • Facility Manager is often used for users that are active in myQ but with fewer permissions than the Facility Owner, and is typically in the Shipping / Receiving manager role

    • Permissions can be fully controlled including granting access to edit Roles of Groups. It is recommended that you are very intentional with the users that can edit Role permissions as they control everything in myQ.
